NAM- S&T Centre is an intergovernmental organization with a primary objective to promote South -South cooperation in science and technology. Sri Lanka, being one of the 47 member countries of NAM which includes Latin America, Africa, Asia and European continents expresses the privilege on collaborations with mutual benefits among scientists, technologists and scientific organizations with non-aligned to other developing countries. One day workshop on ‘Emerging Contaminants in the Environment: Source to treatment’ was successfully held on 03rd of October 2018 at the Wilasurendara auditorium, IESL, Colombo 07 with 48 participants. It was organized by Young Scientists Forum of NASTEC with the collaboration of Water Forum of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and Ecosphere Resilience Research Center, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
This Forum comprises of scientists actively engaged in S & T Research and Development work, either directly or by directing an active research group. The Forum was initiated in the year 2000 and has a membership of over 100 senior scientists working in R&D Institutions and Universities.
