One day workshop on ‘Emerging Contaminants in the Environment: Source to treatment’ was successfully held on 03rd of October 2018 at the Wilasurendara auditorium, IESL, Colombo 07 with 48 participants. It was organized by Young Scientists Forum of NASTEC with the collaboration of Water Forum of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and Ecosphere Resilience Research Center, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Republic of Sri Lanka and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India
concluded a Programme of Cooperation (PoC) in Science and Technology, on August 4th, 2016. In terms
of the PoC, funding can be made available for selected Joint Projects and Workshops in bilateral mode
involving scientist & technologists from Sri Lanka and India, in the following areas:
a. Food Technology
b. Plant base medicines
d. Space Research & Applications
e. Robotics & Automation
f. Industrial Electronics
g. Any other project with national relevance (with Justifications)
