Two day workshop on Statistics for Research was organized by YSF with the collaboration of Faculty of Sciences, University of Jaffna. It was held successfully in the computer lab of the faculty of Science, University of Jaffna with more than 35 participants on 24th and 25th November 2018.
One day workshop on ‘Emerging Contaminants in the Environment: Source to treatment’ was successfully held on 03rd of October 2018 at the Wilasurendara auditorium, IESL, Colombo 07 with 48 participants. It was organized by Young Scientists Forum of NASTEC with the collaboration of Water Forum of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and Ecosphere Resilience Research Center, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
NAM- S&T Centre is an intergovernmental organization with a primary objective to promote South -South cooperation in science and technology. Sri Lanka, being one of the 47 member countries of NAM which includes Latin America, Africa, Asia and European continents expresses the privilege on collaborations with mutual benefits among scientists, technologists and scientific organizations with non-aligned to other developing countries. National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC) being the focal point for NAM –S&T Center in Sri Lanka in coordinating the events which are organized by the NAM –S&T Center.
1st Bureau Meeting of the 14th Governing Council of the Centre for the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) hosted by Ministry of Science, Technology and Research, Skills Development & Vocational Training and Kandyan Heritage in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Commission (NASTEC) during 6th – 7th September 2018 at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.
