This Forum comprises of Directors/Heads of Science and Technology Institutions (including Research and Development Institutions) of the country. NASTEC often seeks their advice to identify problems and constraints affecting the development of S&T in the country
This Forum comprises of scientists actively engaged in S & T Research and Development work, either directly or by directing an active research group. The Forum was initiated in the year 2000 and has a membership of over 100 senior scientists working in R&D Institutions and Universities.
The concept of the Young Scientists Forum emanated from the World Conference on Science for the 21st Century, held in Budapest, Hungary, from 26th June to 01st July, 1999, under the aegis of the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Council for Science (ICSU).
